WHO AM I?

That’s a highly philosophical question. According to Carl Sagan, I’m stardust, but if you look at my birth certificate it clearly says I’m “Simon Eli Kamali, born in Gothenburg 1995”.

What it doesn’t say, though, is that I’ve been studying Digital Design for the past two years at Yrgo Göteborg. During my studies I discovered my interest in web design and motion, especially a combination of the two.

For my master’s thesis project I decided to explore whether or not Spline 3D could be used as a game engine. Let’s just say it’s not quite suitable for AAA games, yet. But it’s definitely a fun tool to use. Who doesn’t love interactive 3D content?

I gained an interest in photography at a young age. Having spent all my summers in Iceland, I became especially interested in nature photography.

In high school I studied filmmaking, and it was also during my high school years I developed a huge interest in music. I'm a self-taught guitarist, among other instruments. In recent years I’ve started producing music on my own and currently have two released songs on Spotify.

I guess I’m what you call a “Jack of all trades, (fill in the blank)”.

WHEN
I'M NOT

DESIGNING

Wow, you really scrolled this far?

I guess this page isn’t a complete failure then (can you tell I have the “designer-imposter-syndrome”?).

Anyway, so who am I when I’m not designing? Like you saw in the beginning, I’m a wannabe musician (imposter-syndrome??). I’ve got a huge interest in music and listen to everything between Chopin to Nirvana. I mainly play electric guitar and recently started producing my own music. I currently have two songs released on Spotify under the artist name Indró, and recorded and produced a song for a friend of mine, Paudie Larkin, which can also be found on Spotify under his name.

What else? I like pool. No, not swimming, I mean the game you play while you drink beer. I’d concider myself quite decent, but no where near professional. I also like dart. No, not running, I mean the game you play while you drink beer. Recurring theme here… Speaking of which.

I have a newly found interest of brewing my own glögg. This is something i’ve been doing for the past 4 winters. I love experementing with new flavours and my favourite so far has been Chilli & Cinnamon. I’ll bring you some if you hire me.

I should wrap it up here since this text is getting too long, but I feel I didn’t really show myself in the best light here, so I’ll mention some things that don’t involve neurotoxins.

I like photography. I like to stay active. I… Eh, nevermind, you’ve probably stopped reading by now. Bye.
